|CDGA Member Days Policies|
If you plan to participate in any Member Day(s) sponsored by the Chicago District Golf Association, it is important that you read the following information. It is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations concerning participation in CDGA Member Days.
Only CDGA members are eligible to register for CDGA Member Days. The additional players in the group are not required to be CDGA members. All non-members will be charged at a higher entry fee. A member may choose to enter anywhere from one to four players for the group.
Information concerning pairings, starting holes, etc., will be given at the club once the player checks in. Please note, players registered together will be playing together.
Conditions of Entry
The CDGA reserves the right to decline any entry. All entries submitted to the CDGA must be completed and include the entry fee for the event. In order to be officially entered into an event(s), the online entry must be received in the CDGA office no later than 5 p.m. on the entry closing day.
Individuals, who have submitted an entry for a Member Day and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the CDGA Lemont office IN WRITING. Withdrawals may be sent via email to email@example.com, or mailed to the CDGA office. Withdrawals submitted at least seven days prior to the Member Day will receive a full refund minus a $10 per person registered in the group administration fee, provided a written notification is submitted to the CDGA office. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR WITHDRAWALS LESS THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
Group Requests/Player Changes
The CDGA will not honor any pairing requests for any Member Day. If you would like to play with certain individuals, you must register together at the time of entry. You may change players within your group at any time. However, one person in the group must be a CDGA member.
All players must be properly attired both on the golf course and the premises of the club. Jeans of any color, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Collared shirts must be worn and shorts must be mid-thigh lengths. No cut-off or jean shorts are allowed. This dress code is in effect at all CDGA events in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the site hosting the event.
Non-Metal Spike Policy
The CDGA will honor the non-metal spike only policy that is in effect at various host clubs. All contestants will be notified in their starting time letter with information regarding the club policy on non-metal spikes. The information also appears in the event descriptions as well as the entry blanks.
The CDGA has developed a Code of Conduct for all participants in CDGA-administered events. The Code of Conduct is listed below:
Contestants and their caddies are reminded that at all times appropriate golf etiquette and dress is required and that any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, host, spectators, employees, or other persons conducting or attending CDGA sponsored or conducted events are grounds for immediate removal from the event and denial of entry for future events. Such abuse or disrespect may be verbal or physical or threat thereof and includes but is not limited to the use of vulgar or obscene language, as well as physical damage to property or equipment of any of the persons set forth above or the hosting facility.
