This is a 36-hole stroke play event. The entire field will play 18-holes the first day with the low 20 and ties advancing to the final 18-holes.
The championship is open to any amateur who is a current resident of Illinois, with a current Handicap index of 5.4 or lower, and who since January 1 of the current year have been bona fide public course players , and have not held privileges of any course which does not extend playing privileges to the general public or privileges of any private club maintaining its own course. The CDGA reserves the right to approve or reject any entry and extend special invitations.
Exceptions: A bona fide public course player may hold incidental privileges of a course not open to the public when such privileges are provided by (1) an educational institution at which he is a member or student, or (2) a federal armed service of which he is a member or a retired member, or (3) an industry by which he is employed or from which he is retired.
The field is limited to 90 players.
Tee-times will be e-mailed and posted on the CDGA website 10-14 days prior to the event.
Gift certificates will be given to the low 10 places - with a $750 gift certificate given to the champion.
In the event of a tie, there will be an immediate, three-hole total-stroke playoff. If a tie remains, play will proceed on a sudden-victory basis. Should conditions not permit, the CDGA reserves the right to alter the playoff format.
*One Ball Rule in effect for this Championship.
*Non-metal spike policy is in effect.
Players may use Distance Measuring Devices in ALL CDGA Qualifiers and Championships. These devices must measure and gauge distance only.
