The CDGA is a membership organization consisting of more than 103,000 individual members and 400 member clubs. Member clubs include public facilities, private facilities and Clubs Without Real Estate. See below for a listing of benefits associated with being a member club:

Handicap Index® issued by the USGA®
Handicap Index® issued by the USGA®

The CDGA provides a Handicap Index® issued by the USGA® through the World Handicap System™. All indexes are revised each night through the USGA’s Centralized Computation Platform. Members can view their updated Handicap Index through the My CDGA app or the My CDGA Caddie on CDGA.org. Course Rating System™
Course Rating System™

The CDGA is authorized by the USGA to conduct Course Ratings. The CDGA Course Rating Committee updates Course Rating™, Slope Rating™ and yardages at member clubs on a rotational basis. Handicap Software & Equipment
Handicap Software & Equipment

The CDGA provides a touch screen kiosk to clubs wanting to give CDGA members an additional score-posting option through a computer located at the club. CDGA Turfgrass Program
CDGA Turfgrass Program

The CDGA Turfgrass Program provides three areas of turfgrass support to the Chicago District - diagnostics, research and education. On-site, rapid diagnostic support is the cornerstone of the program. Additionally, CDGA Tufgrass Program staff conduct industry-leading research initiatives and host an array of educational opportunities. Individual members receive Chicago District Golfer magazine, the weekly My CDGA Monday Scorecard e-newsletter and monthly CDGA Member Perks emails. Member clubs have the opportunity to put forth special offers or advertise through these platforms. CDGA Competition Hosting

Each season, the CDGA sponsors and conducts nearly 100 events at Chicago District clubs for players of all ages, genders and skill levels, including eight Championships for elite amateur golfers. Philanthropy Opportunities with the CDGA Foundation

Member clubs have the ability to donate to the CDGA Foundation, which plays a vital role in supporting CDGA Outreach Programs. This programming provides therapeutic and recreational golf opportunities for individuals with special needs, veterans and youth. Become a CDGA Member Club

A member club can be any of the following:

  • 18-hole public or private facility
  • 9-hole public or private facility
  • Clubs Without Real Estate (meaning a club that is a group of golfers who do not own a course or are not affiliated with a particular course)
