All CDGA and Illinois State events will continue to adopt the Local Rule allowing distance measuring devices, as stated in the Rules of Golf. The USGA will adopt this policy as well for all their Amateur qualifiers and championships.

The USGA Open qualifiers and championships will continue to prohibit the use of any distance measuring device.
