FORMAT
This is a 36-hole Stroke Play GROSS only event. Each entry will be placed in their respective Sport Class (15 Classifications) and play his or her own ball. All entries will have the opportunity to play a practice round on Friday, June 20 that is included in your registration fee.
ELIGIBILITY
You must have a WR4GD pass before you can be OFFICIALLY registered and a World Handicap System Index. Any registrations without the access pass will not be considered. WR4GD passes can be obtain through European Disabled Golf Association (www.edgagolf.com). This is a WR4GD counting event.
FIELD
Field will be limited to no more than 84 individuals who have a WR4GD pass and World Handicap Index and fall into one of the 15 Sport Classes. Striving for the goal of inclusivity, the CDGA will accept entries equally across all Sport Classes amongst those who have registered. Secondarily, registration for the event is not guaranteed acceptance into the championship field. The CDGA selection process will take WR4GD Rankings, USAGA Rankings, Sport Class and Handicap Index into effect in determining the field.
PAIRINGS
The Chicago Adaptive Open will consist of divisions and flights based upon USAGA Sport Classes. Players will compete within both their Sport Class and Impairment Category during the championship. Each group will consist of Threesomes. Yardages and tees will be released after the field has been finalized.
TEE TIMES
Tee times for the Chicago Adaptive Open will be e-mailed and posted on the CDGA website a few days leading up to the event.
PRIZES
$15,000 purse will be distributed to first, second and third place in each Sport Class, $1,000 per Sport Class (1st Place - $500, 2nd Place - $300, 3rd Place - $200). If there is a Sport Class that does not have any entries, the prize money from the Sport Class will be allocated evenly to the other Sport Classes. There will be an overall Men`s, Women`s and Senior (55 and older) Champion.
RESTRICTIONS
Any players that do not obtain a WR4GD pass will not be considered.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Entry Fee for the Chicago Adaptive Open is $200. Registration is not a guaranteed acceptance into the championship field. Registration will begin March 4 and will close on June 6. An alternate list will be made June 13. All other players will receive a full refund after.
Players are responsible for planning a caddie, player aide and specialized golf cart. Fox Bend Golf Course will provide regular golf carts to all players.
