ANNOUNCEMENTS
Your official scorecard will be completed electronically. Bring your smartphone and have the My CDGA app ready to use. Do not open the electronic scoring platform until instructed (specific details provided at your starting tee).

FORMAT
This is a 72-hole stroke play Championship taking place July 15 - 17. All players will play 18 holes on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the low 35 and ties advancing to the final 36 holes on Thursday.
ELIGIBILITY
The Championship is open to any amateur who is a current resident of Illinois, with a current Handicap Index® not exceeding 7.4. The CDGA reserves the right to approve or reject any entry and extend special invitations.
FIELD
136 Players
PRACTICE ROUND
All contestants are entitled to play one 18-hole practice round on Monday, July 14. Players are required to call the golf shop at (630) 820-1007 in advance to arrange a starting time for the practice round. The first tee time will be at 7:30 a.m. and the last tee time will be 3 p.m., NO EXCEPTIONS.

Contestants may be paired with other contestants. All contestants will be required to play only one ball and must tee off from designated areas only. Players may use a golf cart during the practice round. The cart fee will be at the players expense.

GOLF CARTS
Riding Carts are NOT permitted during the championship for player or caddie. (unless a cart request has been approved by the CDGA for a disability under the ADA).

Spectator Carts are strictly prohibited. Please review your Qualifier Packet, that was emailed to you, with regards to spectator carts and the mandatory spectator cart request form for individuals with disabilities. The disability MUST fall under the ADA and be accompanied by a doctor’s note stating this fact. All forms must be submitted by Monday, July 8 (as stated in the qualifier packet).
CADDIES
Stonebridge CC has a limited number of caddies. Should you want to use a Club caddie, you will need to make arrangements ahead of time by emailing Caddiemaster, Bob Blackston at bblackston@stonebridge-cc.org
PULL CARTS
Pull Carts are allowed in the Illinois State Amateur Championship.

Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect for this event
STARTING TIMES
Play will begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday & Wednesday for the morning rounds and at 12 p.m. for the afternoon rounds. For Thursday, play will begin at 7 a.m. There will be a 10-minute interval between each group.
FOOD SERVICES
Drinking Water: Players are strongly encouraged to bring their own supply of drinking water on the course. While the CDGA and Stonebridge CC will do their best to keep coolers filled on the course, past experiences have shown it can be challenging to keep up due to high consumption by non-players. To ensure hydration for all, we recommend that players, caddies, and spectators come equipped with their own water bottles or refillable containers.

Breakfast: Is not provided to players during the championship

Lunch: 
Monday – available from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the clubhouse. Players must pay by cash or credit card. Tuesday – Thursday - provided to contestants only. Thursday is only for players making the cut.

Dinner: Not Available

REGISTRATION - You are required to register, at the site, prior to your Tuesday tee time. . Registration is located in the golf shop, the times are:
Monday, July 15 - 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tuesday, July 16 - 7 a.m. to 1:40 p.m.

PACE OF PLAY - Rule 5.6b of the Rules of Golf states in part: “A round of golf is meant to be played at a prompt pace.” Model Local Rule K-2 will be in effect. Included in your Tee Time email, as well as the linked Contestants Packet above and tournament scoring app, is the Local Rule regarding pace of play and will tell you exactly how pace of play will be monitored. Please read that sheet carefully.

TIME OF STARTING - Rule 5.3a provides: “The player must be ready to play at the starting time and starting point set by the Committee.” If the player arrives at his starting hole, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole. Otherwise the penalty for breach of this Rule is disqualification.

PARKING PASS - The parking lot at Stonebridge CC is large with plenty of parking places and a very close overflow lot. As a result, we will not be issuing parking passes for the 2025 Illinois State Amateur Championship.
