In the bottom half of the bracket, second-seeded John Finnin and Terry Werner dispatched their challengers quickly, as the CDGA Senior Am final combatants overwhelmed their competitors. In the quarterfinals, they topped Gary Freund and Mark Hannon 7 and 6 and returned in the afternoon to defeat Anthony Cascino and Tom DeStefani 4 and 3 in the semifinals.
Anderson, a former CDGA Senior Amateur champion, and Jacobs will meet Werner, this year’s CDGA Senior Amateur champ, and Finnin in the championship match at 8 a.m. Thursday morning at Itasca Country Club.

Day 2: Tuesday, Oct. 3
In the bottom half of the bracket, the second-seeded duo of John Finnin and Terry Werner, combatants in the CDGA Senior Amateur championship match earlier this year, joined forces for a 3-and-2 victory over Gavin Green and Phillip Kenny.
Seven of the eight first round matches were completed on Tuesday, with the exception being the 6/11 matchup between Vance Antoniou and Mark Esposito and Wayne Moore and Dan Steinman. That match completed 18 holes all square shortly after sunset and was suspended due to darkness. The final quarterfinal slot will be determined when that match resumes Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m.
The quarterfinal matches of the 2nd CDGA Senior Amateur Four-Ball Championship will tee off at 8 a.m. at Itasca, with the semifinal matches to follow in the afternoon.

LEMONT, Ill. - The 2017 CDGA championship slate culminates Oct. 2-5 at Itasca Country Club, as 41 duos age 55-and-up will compete in the 2nd CDGA Senior Amateur Four-Ball Championship.Championship Information
New to the CDGA championship slate in 2016, the CDGA Senior Amateur Four-Ball Championship is a team match play event for those over the age of 55. Two-person teams begin the Championship with 18 holes of stroke play on the Monday of the event before the low 16 teams are seeded into a match play bracket. Both team members play their own ball throughout, with the lowest score on each hole counting. The duo of Tim Sheppard and Tom Kearfott won the inaugural event last year at Crystal Tree Golf & Country Club. (2016 Recap)
