The CDGA and Golf VX are partnering to bring a competitive indoor golf series to CDGA members this fall and winter! Hosted at Golf VX in Arlington Heights, the CDGA Winter Series presented by Golf VX provides members with high-quality tournament experiences during the off-season, culminating in a championship event open exclusively to the season’s top-performing teams. Events are scheduled once per month from November through February, with the Championship slated for March. See below for more Series and event information:

• All four (4) qualifying events and Championship will be contested at Golf VX in Arlington Heights - 644 E Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004
• Each qualifier will feature a maximum of 12 two-person teams.
• The top 2 finishing teams from each qualifying event earn a berth in the March Championship. If a team finishes in the top 2 at multiple events, their additional spots roll down to the next unqualified finisher from that event, ensuring exactly 2 new teams advance per event.
• All virtual courses will be decided prior to each qualifier and Championship.

Qualifier Format:

• Each event will feature an 18-hole, Two-Person Net Better Ball scoring format.
• Each participant must be an active CDGA member with a USGA Handicap Index®.
• All ties are broken using a scorecard playoff (holes 10-18). If tying teams have the same score for the last nine, the winner will be determined on the basis of the last six holes, three holes, and 18th hole in that order. This method will be repeated using the front nine, if necessary.
• All virtual courses will be decided before each qualifier and Championship.
• A closest-to-the-pin (CTP) contest on one of the par 3s will take place at each event. This gives every participant something to compete for beyond the leaderboard, adds energy to the event, and is easy to administer through the simulator setup. The first team to finish their round will have CTP set up on their simulator, and all teams will compete on that simulator. Each team can begin their CTP competition once they have completed their round.

Forming a Team:

• Teams may be made up of any two CDGA members at least 21 years of age. All active CDGA members with an active USGA Handicap Index® are welcome to participate. To become a CDGA member or renew an expired membership, CLICK HERE.

• Thursday, Nov. 12 @ 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, Dec. 9 @ 5 p.m.
• Thursday, Jan. 14 @ 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, Feb. 10 @ 5 p.m.
• CHAMPIONSHIP - Thursday, March 11 @ 5 p.m.
