“We are proud to offer an array of playing opportunities representative of the game’s growth and evolution,” said CDGA Executive Director Robert Markionni. “From the events we have conducted for more than a century, to championships we only began administering last year, any type of golfer has the ability to play in a CDGA competition.”

Four Illinois State Championships highlight the competitions slate. The 94th Illinois State Amateur Championship will be contested at a new venue, with Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora playing host July 15-17. The 92nd Illinois State Women’s Amateur Championship will return to The Grove Country Club in Long Grove June 16-18. Rounding out the State events will be the 33rd Illinois State Mid-Amateur Championship, Aug. 18-19 at Inverness Golf Club, and the 39th Illinois State Senior Amateur Championship, Sept. 15-17 at Bloomington Country Club.

“These Illinois State events represent the pinnacle of amateur golf in the state,” Markionni said. “We are excited to have four sites suitable for hosting and challenging Illinois’ best.”

Highlighting the rest of the Championship schedule is the Association’s oldest event, the CDGA Amateur Championship, which heads to Briarwood Country Club for its 105th iteration, June 23-26. The rest of the schedule consists of four additional match-play events – one specific for mid-amateurs (25 and up), one for seniors (55 and up) and two for teams – as well as 20 CDGA-conducted USGA qualifiers and the 63rd Radix Cup Matches.

For the second year, the CDGA also will offer a schedule dedicated specifically to women’s events. In addition to the State Women’s Amateur, the CDGA will administer the 56th Illinois State Senior Women’s Amateur Championship at Champaign Country Club Sept. 29-Oct. 1, four net Women’s Tour Edge Trifecta Series events and six USGA qualifiers specific to women.

Lastly, the robust CDGA Social Competitions schedule will continue to provide an array of casually competitive playing opportunities for every type of golfer. With four-person team, two-person team and individual net playing opportunities available amongst the various Social Competitions realms, there is sure to be an event suitable for every player.

The action gets under way on April 21 with a CDGA Mid-Amateur Qualifier at Maple Meadows Golf Course and will conclude on Oct. 27 with a CDGA Member Day at Lost Dunes Golf Club.

Registration for all events on the Championship and Women’s Competition schedules will open on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The 2025 CDGA Social Competitions slate will open registration on Monday, Feb. 10.
