SIGN UP BEGINS FOR 2023 CDGA CHAMPIONSHIPS | |
Tuesday, January 17, 2023 - LEMONT, Ill. - Registration is open for the CDGA`s slate of eight championships and their associated qualifiers, as of Tuesday morning. Individuals looking to partake in the thrill of elite amateur events can sign up at CDGA.org. The 2023 campaign will mark the CDGA`s 110th year of conducting amateur competitions. The docket is highlighted by the 92nd Illinois State Amateur Championship, July 18-20 at Bloomington Country Club, and the 103rd CDGA Amateur Championship, June 26-29 at Lake Shore Country Club. The other six championships consist of two catered to mid-amateur players (age 25 and up), three specific to seniors (age 55 and up) and one Four-Ball event open to all ages. In total, 58 events are on the schedule, which will run from April through October. Any individual with a Handicap Index® of 10.4 or below is eligible to participate i¬n at least one of the eight championships. Also included on the CDGA Championship Schedule are 21 USGA qualifiers that will be conducted locally by the CDGA. Registration for these events takes place at USGA.org on a rolling basis. Complementing the CDGA Championship Schedule is the CDGA Social Competitions slate. These events are more casual in nature and provide playing opportunities for golfers of all skill levels, genders and ages. Sign up for these events begins on Monday, Feb. 6.
